On the video you hear the falling object make a strange noise as it falls and then a boom follows it indicating a crash. If you watched a jet aircraft flying at the speed of sound you wouldn't be able to hear the engine until after the sonic boom because the noise is delayed (behind it) hence flying faster than sound.
